Chemical engineering Major. Julia works on image processing of cells for cell morphology and shape studies.
Mark Greenwood (co-advised with Ken Reardon)
Chemical Engineering PhD student. Mark works on developing an innovative modern cell-based biosensor for detecting estrogen disrupting chemicals in the environment.

Former Graduate Students
Joshua Mannheimer
Joshua graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He did very cool work on data-driven modeling of cancer cell drug resistance, co-advised by Dr Prasad and Dr Daniel Gustafson. Joshua is currently a postdoc at the NIH.
Elaheh Alizadeh
Elaheh ran our experimental wet lab for many years and wrote many papers on predicting cellular phenotype from morphology. She graduated with a PhD from Chemical Engineering and did a postdoc at the University of Arizona. Currently she is a research scientist at Jackson Labs.
Wenlong Xu
Wenlong worked on retroactivity in synthetic switches, helped develop the first genetic toggle switch in plants and developed a method to assay cellular viscoelasticity. After his Chemical Engineering PhD and a postdoc at MIT, he is a research scientist at Biogen.
Samy Lyons
Samy graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. She worked on cell shape, synthetic biology, retroactivity and information theory.
Katherine Kiwimagi
Katherine graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. she worked on developing a protoplast assay for synthetic biology in plants, the synthetic genetic toggle switch and contributed to the cell shape and the cancer modeling projects. She is a postdoc at MIT.
Chintan Joshi
Chintan graduated with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. He worked on metabolic modeling using Flux Balance Analysis and similar techniques, with a focus on cyanobacteria. After graduation he was Keck postdoctoral fellow at UCSD.
Keira Havens
Keira graduated with a MS in Biology, and worked on mathematical modeling of synthetic biology circuits. Co-advised by June Medford.
Dustin Berger
Dustin earned an MS in Biomedical Engineering. He worked on osteoblast differentiation.
